Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber colour with an everlasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, funky yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, light floral, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. A solid bitter.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington, Shropshire on 22 June 2013. Full on gold body with a good solid white head, firm lacing on the glass as the beer level fell. Floral hop nose with a mild biscuit malt hint. Drier in the mouth than the aroma indicated, some bittering towards the end and certainly more hoppy than malty in flavour. Another fine beer from Beowulf.

Cask-conditioned at the Plough, Worcester 30/05/09. Deep gold with a slight white head. A decent hoppy brew, with some citrus fruit, a slightly prickly mouth feel and dry, grapefruit finish. Good stuff.
