From BA (Dec 2007): I met the brewer and owner (same bloke) at a market in Southwold last summer and obtained this and another beer from him, glad I did. This bottled conditioned bitter (comes in a brown 500ml bottle) is a pale ale orange colour, a terracotta light red. The thin head is off white, it hangs around for a while then it just hung onto the glass. It was slightly cloudy, but only because I allowed a little of the yeast to get into my glass as i poured it. Strong yeast aroma with malted barely too, a true English bitter smell. A sparkling bitter flavour, fresh and zesty, almost fizzy in the mouthfeel. A dryness appears later in the mouthfeel also. Hops in there as well, this is a well crafted beer. Very drinkable. On my annual trip to Suffolk I shall make the effort and visit the brewery and buy some more of his beers.
