275ml bottle. Pours gold with a thin head. Aroma is soapy lemon and buttered popcorn. Taste has butter, straw. A little lemon and strawberry. Slick, oily mouthfeel.

Really strange one this: a UK Ale Brewery producing a lager based on the German purity laws and using only water, hops, barley and yeast. Brown 275cl tall bottle, best before the end of Jan 2011. This beer was reviewed during a ’Pilsner/Lager’ tasting evening during Sep 2010. Poured into a Veltins Pilsner glass: mid-lager gold colour with no head worth talking about. Odourless and nearly tasteless, boring in all aspects, the brewery should stick to what it knows best, producing good quality Ales. I have seen it since being given away (at Coldsall Railway Buildings Pub).
