This very special beer specialty is named after its origin, because our brewery is located directly at the foot of the famous pilgrimage site "Maria Ehrenberg" in the Rhön region.
The ''Pilgerstoff'' matures in our cold beer cellars into a full-bodied and perfectly rounded masterpiece for at least 8 weeks. It presents itself in a clear dark amber colour, strong roasted malt flavors and a velvety soft foam crown.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of heavy, shared with him and Marko. Darker golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, mild malty nose. Sweet malty, caramel, notes of brown sugar and mineral water with rather sweet finish. Too sweet and one-dimensional.

Thanks heavy! Shared with him and ogivlado. Bronze brown/amber body with a small thick persistent white head. Sweetish malt-driven aroma with notes of dried plums and dog food, sticky. Taste... weak dogfood, light. Mild sticky toasty malty note in a sea of mildly sugared water. Technically drinkable, technically without technical flaws, technically might be enjoyable for some, but it’s impressively unimpressive. The more elaborate the label, the less elaborate the beer?

Bottle. Pours clear amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and hops, with some estery notes and mild touches of fruit. Sweetish, malty flavour, with bready and estery notes, offset by bitter, hoppy touches. Estery and slightly bitter aftertaste. Clean but a little watery. Okay.

Bottle, 5.3%. Mild caramelly aroma with a floral hop note. Clear dark copper colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is a lot like the aroma, caramelly with a good floral aroma hop. A little watery, but not bad at all.

Aroma is moderate malty, hay - grass, caramel, sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass - hay. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150326]
