Bottle shared by jcwattsrugger. Pours reddish amber. White head. Nose of cinnamon sticks, holly leaves, orange and candi sugar. Taste of holly leaves, muted candi sugar, sweet malts and grain. Lightish body. Very short palate.

Flaske 0,5l. Dyp rødbrun. Et høyt, svakt farget kremaktig skum. Svakt krydret aroma. Litt krydder også i smaken. Innslag av nøtter & frukt. Litt kjedelig. Etiketten derimot var rimelig sprø.

Dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, spicy and hoppy. Flavor is rather sweet and has a nice bitterness. The finish is a little bitter and dry. Lighter and more fresh than your average christmas brew. Nice. 291010

Dark brown beer with almost medium, thick and beige head. Lots of dark malts in the aroma, also some berries, sourness and chocolate. Medium bodied with quite lot of carbonation, still nice to drink. Dark malts, some ryebread, tangy and that were everything. Obviously disappointment, dark malts without complexicity.

Bottle from Alko. Poured hazy and drak brown color with a thin white head. Aroma was spicy and with some cocoa and chocolate. Quite watery. Flavor was weakly of roasted malt and some spices and dark fruits. Not really that good. Not something I will buy again.

Bottled 500ml (Alko, BB 09/2013)
Deep ruby-brown color, small steady beige head. Aroma of caramel, light spices and liver casserole. Medium-bodied. Fruity, caramelly, some roasted malts, kind of "muddy" yeastyness with some alcohol in the finish. Reminds me about some Finnish Laitilan beers.

(Bottle) Poured dark reddish brown and quite clear. Head had light brown colour and it was quite large. Aroma was really spicy - I found at least clove, fennel and chocolate, Palate was full bodied with quie low carbonation. I expected the taste to be really spicy, too, but it wasn’t. The flavours I found were roastedness, mildly fennel, chocolate, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was dry and malty. The excessive dryness on the aftertaste actually spoiled this beer a bit. Still for a spiced beer this one has got good drinkability and balanced flavours.
