On tap at Horsens Beerfestival. Hazy, dark brown body with a small, dense beige head. Aroma has malt, some citrus fruit and spices. Not totally in harmony, but decent.

500ml bottle, vintage 2005, bb.01.09. Thanks to Skinnyviking. After the noisy pour has settled there are only a few, thin patches on the surface of a shiny, dark brown red-tinged body. Inviting smell of sweet chocolate malts. Earthy malt in the forefront opening up to a balanced blend of different kinds of malts with spicy hints. The aftertaste has got discreet notes of bitter dried fruits. Tolerable sweet. Natural carbonation. Satisfying Christmastime in this one, but more depth would have been appreciated [TromsΓΈ, 30.12.2008].

Appearance of muddy river water, 3 or 4 bubbles. Weak and watery with a hint of cinnamon and brown sugar. Too many other great winter beers out there this year to waste mush time with this one.

aroma:dark fruits, perfume or soap, hops. in general appealing. Looks very promising, dark red/brown with large vanilla flavored head. flavor : a little watery. well balanced, so well i have to sip a few times to figure what it tastes like. half a glass later i still have no clue. but it’s good. Not the best christmas brew out there, but well crafted.

Bottle: Slightly hazy, deep ruby-amber coloured, bigger tanned head, slowly collapsing, sweetish dark-malty, but mainly sweet fruity (dried dark fruits) in the aroma; solid sweet flavour, medium bodied; traces of roasted malt in the sweet-bitter finish. O.K., quite good.....

Hazy dark ruby-brown beer, with small, disappearing foxy head. Spicy, a whiff of coffee, a whiff of hops. But mainly spicy. Roasted & hoppy in a decent balanc. Spicyness still very obvious, of course, X-mas spices, aptly. Very slick, and medium to well-bodied. Better balanced than some others in this "style", but still a bit - wild. Thanks very much, people.
