Bottle. Dark chestnut brown. Caramel, malt, berry, cinnamon, cookies. Front heavy, a sticky bitter edge, herbal, spices, warm, intense. Buttery mouthfeel. Slightly oxidized. Not undrinkable, but for me a bit too sweet and a bit unbalanced in the body, probably because of the oxidation. Would love to try it fresh and for yule.

Bread dough and cinnamon in the aroma. malty, herbal flavor with licorice, laurel and cinnamon. Clove. Medium bodied. Brown sugar. I prefer less herbs and more malt, but the beer isn’t bad.

Bottle BB 11/16. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is dead yeasts, a bit oxidized, spruce. Taste is spruce, spicy, caramel, bitter. Quite a spicy finish. Medium carbonation. Intense. I would not be able to finish a bottle of this on my own.

Tap at the Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Poured a clear dark amber with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet malt, ripe red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a strong rich fruit alcohol spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

50 cl bottle (6,5%) @ home. Rated on 19.11.2010
Aroma is rather malty with some berries and chocolate. Flavour is spicy and malty with bread and raisins. A bit odd and too spicy, but decent anyway.
