(Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen) Dark brown colour with small head. Malty nose with chocolate, dark fruit and cherries. Fruity taste, slightly wineous, with cherries, chocolate and a malty backbone giving it good balance. Nice beer, but slightly overshadowed by the Bröckhouse sampled before.

On tap at Horsens Beerfestival. Unclear, brown with a beige head. Yeast, some sourness, spices and sweetness in the aroma. Nice, sweet flavor and full body. Seemed a bit unfinished, which the brewer agreed on. Maybe it would be better to taste a bottle from 2005. (061028)

Very dark brown with a small off-white head. Malty nose with a hint of smoke. Dry and somewhat sour, as mentioned before, it’s bordering a stout. Not very traditional Christmas brew, but it works well with the heavy holiday food.

(On tap) Almost black with a beige head. Spicy - star aniseed? Lovely, slightly sweetish aroma. In the taste there’s a balancing, dry bitterness. More dry than bitter actually. Not a very heavy beer, this is highly drinkable - bordering a Stout. 050305
