Unser kupferfarbenes Spezialbier basiert auf einem milden Märzen. Diverse Karamelmalze bestimmen die Farbe und den ausgeprägten Malzcharakter dieses Bieres. Abgerundet wird es durch eine dezent fruchtige Hopfennote. So kommt der besondere Geschmack des Schmankerls zustande. Dieses Bier wird in die neu entwickelte 0,33 Liter Euro Bierflasche, der kleinen Schwester der alten bauchigen Standardflasche in Bayern, abgefüllt.

Bottle 330ml. shared @ 8th. BBF 2016 [ 8th Borefts Beer Festival 2016 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Isarkindl Ein Schmankerl ].Clear medium amber yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, pale malt, cardboard notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160924] 5-3-5-3-11

bottle, thanks to pivnizub! Amber with a tall off-white head. Malty with some caramel, toasetd malts and a touch of chocolate. Very diluted overall impression. The flavours are pleasant, but it seems very, very watery and thin.

Pours copper from the bottle with a frothy, tan head. Aroma is lots of caramel, a bit of toffee. Taste is sweet, lots of caramel and toffee, hints of tea. No real bitterness at all. Body is light, creamy smooth, with light watery notes in places. A bit of a malt bomb. Okay.

Fläschla: Copper coloured, unclear, small and stable off-white foamy layer; dryish nose of toastec and dark malt with a tinge of cooked vegetables; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, barely medium bodied; slightly lingering toasty-bitter finish. A nice euphemism, this name "Schmankerl". You just get a very, very unspectacular Bier...

330ml bottle. Clear, copper-ish, dark amber colour with small, frothy to creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Grainy, wet strawy aroma, outwashed caramel malt. Taste is minimally sweet fruity, diluted notes of red berries, a touch of cherry, some caramel; anaemic and watery. Nice taste - but with the intensity of a third infusion.

Bottle shared before Borefts Day 2. Clear rusty orange color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, caramalts, (Dutch) "een beetje blik-achtig". Average body and carbonation. Meh.
