Die Optik präsentiert sich wunderbar bernsteinfarben, mit einer sehr zarten Trübung und feiner Perlage. Die leicht cremefarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt dabei flaumig-stabil und gut haltbar. Die Duftaromatik überzeugt mit einer sehr deutlichen Malzcharakteristik. Stiltypische Noten von Brot, Brotkruste und leichte Ansätze von Karamell wissen dabei zu überzeugen. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, angenehm spritzig und bringt eine sehr gute breite, getreidige, brotige, fast karamellige Malzbasis mit. Am Gaumen darf geht es kräftig malzig weiter. Ebenso zeigen sich wieder brotige, leicht karamellige Noten wieder. Hier gesellt sich dann aber bereits eine leicht würzige bis kräuterartige Hopfenaromatik dazu, die die malzigen Noten wunderbar ergänzt und unterstützt. Das Gesamtbild zeichnet sich somit absolut stiltypisch, sauber und richtig gut. Dazu passend auch das Mundgefühl... sehr angenehm, weich, sanftrezent und leicht trocken. Das trifft ebenso absolut den Stil. Im Nachtrunk bauen die Malznoten relativ stark ab und zunehmends macht sich eine trockene, leicht adstringente Hopfenaromatik mit einer passenden Bittere breit. Sehr viel später lässt die Bittere wieder nach und eine spelzig-getreidige bis honigartige Note bleibt ewig lange stehen. Mein Fazit: Ich kann die aktuell relativ schlechte Gesamtbewertung hier nicht wirklich nachvollziehen. Es passt doch alles. Vielleicht ist die relativ knackige Bitterkeit im Abschluss etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber ansonst ist dieses Bier absolut fehlerlos, stiltypisch und geradlinig vom Anfang bis zum Ende.

0.33 l bottle at Ambasada. Zagreb. Clear golden, small off-white head. Grainy, malty, slightly fruity, citrusy, leaves, peppery phenolic. Some sweetness, quite toasty, some bitterness. Toasted bread. Some herbs in the finish. Light body. Slightly bland.

Bottle at hazy dark amber - orange body, off-white head. Dried fruit, bigger maltiness, bit rough at first, acceptable later. Oxidized malty taste, but nice, creamy, dark maltiness. Bitterish finish, bit soapy. Meh. Close but not.

Bottled 330ml. -from Ambasada Zagreb. Amber coloured, medium sized pale beige head, caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, light herbal with some sugary notes in the finish.

3/3/2020. Draft at Munich Tap House. Pours dark amber brown with a frothy/creamy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, milk chocolate, dried fruits, toffee, vanilla, biscuit and a touch of spice. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.

330 ml bottle. Unclear amber, foamy head. Caramel, malt, nuts, dark bread, citrus, grassy metallic notes. Dry bitterness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry malty finish. A very amber lager-like interpretation of a Märzen, however quite okay.

Bottle at Freising 'Day of Beer', Thursday 25th April 2019. Pours amber with an off white head. Caramel and malts dominate, a touch thin and watery. Malt and caramel and a little bready it's fine.
