Bottled. A pale golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, eggs, straw, and minerals. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and minerals, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(bottle, nowadays just called Eichbaum Export) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet malty nose with a tinge of cardboard and light herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Slightly papery malty taste with mild herbal hoppy notes; sweet-bitter and quite rounded malty and hoppy finish. Nevertheless no highlight. 27.XII.09

Bottle. Pale golden, white cream. Light grainy nose. Lightbodied for a Helles of 5.5%, light grain, balanced, but boring, designed for quaffing - I think I prefer water at this time thanks.

Bottle, 5.5%. Very weak hop aroma. Clear yellow colour. Big stable white head. Clean flavour, a little malt and a faint hint of aroma hop. Very subtle, but clean and refreshing. The mouthfeel is a bit thin for the style.

Bottle: Golden coloured, quickly diminishing white head; moderate sweetish-grainy to dusty nose with a touch of "oaky" hoppiness; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; sweetish-malty to grainy finish with a light "bitter end". A tasty, chewy, well rounded Helles.......

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful fully golden with a rather small head. The label may indicate a dark and roasted malty beer, but it ain’t. Malty notes yet rather dry and almost no bitterness. Could do with a bit more body and personality. 010802

Bottle. Sweet grainy malt aroma. Golden yellow color with next to no head. Corny sweet malt flavor - unpleasant biter hops aftertaste. Not one I want to try again. Have to agree with jde123 and MRomero548..
