Tamni Lager.

Note: Initially only referred as Mlinarica Tamno / Tamni Lager, at 5.3% and 31 IBU.

On tap at brewpub Mlinarica, Mihaljevac, Zagreb. Dark brown, small off-white head. Nutty and roasty, light coffee, light raisins. Roasty dryness, very pleasant. Roasted malts aroma. Soft texture, light body, soft carbonation, roasty finish. Better than most!

On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, weak coffee in the nose. Light roasted malt, caramel, light coffee, notes of grain and faint whiff of smoke in the finish. Nothing more nothing less than drinkable.

Aug ’16. On tap at the brewpub. It poured a hazy darker brown body with medium sized head. Caramel and coffee aroma with a touch of licorice. Flavor was lightly sweet and dry, caramel and coffee malty with notable grainy (bready) note. A bit spicy in herbal way, especially that distinct, aforementioned licorice. Quite sticky, syrupy on palate within its medium body. Coffee dominated the finish. More a Schwarzbier than a Dunkel to be exact, but a pretty fine dark lager anyhow.

On tap at the brewpub with Iznogud. Murky black body tinged with brown. Lasting creamy off white-beige head. Creamy taste, caramel, light roast, grainy touch, similar graininess as with the pale, slightly bitterish and soapy but fine. A good dark lager.
