Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of smoked ham, dark fruit, faint cacao. Taste is smoky, wood-fire and dry-cured bacon. Smoky finish, with a bit of leather and pipe tobacco.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - dark brown to black and almost opaque. Slightly off-white head. Nose - was expecting wood smoke but this is more like smoked ham. Also, a little black fruit underneath. Taste - more of that black fruit but completed dominated by smoked ham or bacon. Palate - light bodied with a sweet middle and dry smokiness on the finish. Overall - a bit weird but quite enjoyable.
