Can shared at MONYO. Pours black with a reddish hue and beige head. The tart raspberries balance the sweet malts and booze out nicely all along both in aroma and taste; then the coffee, chocolate and molasses add an extra layer, while maintaining the balance. Unlike many pastry stouts this one manages to stay pretty drinkable all along, no components become overwhelming. Closes with a long lasting fruity and coffee finish, has medium to full body and soft carbo. Tasty.

Pours black, with a rapidly disappearing head of fine, brown foam. Heavy raspberry smell, with coffee and a tad of maple underneath. Nice creamy thickness. Sharp hit of fairly sour raspberries up front, cold coffee in the back. Maple, vanilla are hiding. I think they managed to do what they were aiming for, but it's not for me. The raspberry is too strong and the maple not nearly enough.

16 oz can, 6/25/20. Pours a deep brown color with a slighter ruby hue to it, creamy brown head, moderate lace drips down the glass. Imagine if you put a few shots of that sweet raspberry syrup stuff into a cream soda and then mixed it with just a little bit of iced coffee. Yeah, that's basically this beer. Maple just comes through as more sugary sweetness for me, and I'm shocked how little coffee / roast I get. I'm also shocked at how little alcohol presence there is. If would have guessed this was like a 6-7% beer if I didn't know better. Well damn, I mean know breweries are making some weird shit right now (Imprint, Bolero, and Heavy Reel in this region of the country, and many others in other regions), that being said, if Evil Twin isn't making the weirdest beers in America these days, I don't know who is. I'm honestly at a loss how to even rate a beer-like-beverage like this one...settled here.
