In schönstem goldgelb erstrahlt der helle Weiherer Bock im Glas. Im Geruch kräftig malzig mit Honignoten, setzt sich dieser Eindruck auch im Antrunk fort. Die Malzsüße steht im Vordergrund, auch die Honignoten sind im Geschmack deutlich zu erkennen – ein voller Körper mit Weiherer Charme. Eine gute Portion Hopfen rundet das vollmundige Bockbier ab, das mit leicht wärmender Wirkung auch bereits dreimal die Jury beim European Beer Star überzeugt hat.

Bottle, many thanks to Quack-Duck. Golden color with medium long lasting white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, cookies. Taste, sweet malt, caramel, sweet cookies, honey alcohol, bitter hops. Nice bitter finish. Good.

Aroma is slightly sweet with honey and hints of sugar. Flavour has honey, grassy hops and hints of grainy malt. Good heller bocks are rather rare, but this is one of them. I like the grassy notes here.

Pours gold with minimal white head and clings. Sweet, caramel, faint floral aroma. Sweet taste with some peppery and spicy hops.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Clear golden appearance with a fairly small white head. A bit buttery, straw, hay aroma. Light butterscotch, a little fruity, pale malty, straw, hay flavor. Not sure if this is old but it doesn’t taste all that great.

Bardzo przyjemne piwo słodowo aromatyczne z lekką wyczuwalnością alkocholu. Nie dominuje on lecz słód. piwo jest dość słodowo - słodkawe. piana mocna i gęsta, dłógo się utrzymuje w kuflu.

Getreidiger und leicht metallerner Antrunk in dem das Bier noch schüchtern wirkt und sich noch keine wirkliche Würzigkeit entfalten kann. Im Mittelteil ist es vorerst ähnlich, der Alkohol versucht sich aufzubäumen und setzt immerhin eine leichte Würzigkeit durch, die aber gleich wieder in der nur leicht intensiveren Getreidigkeit versinkt. Grasig aber kaum würziger werdend, Selbst die intensivste Gewürzphase im Abgang ist eher als mild zu deklarieren. Passabler Bock, allerdings etwas zu schüchtern.

Bottle @ Bamberg. Pours clear dark golden with a small creamy egg white head and lacings. Nose is grain, hay and alcohol. Sweet and herbal flavor. Medium bodied.

Bottle, 6.6%. Refreshing hop aroma, fruity and slightly flowery. Cloudy amber colour. Nice stable creamy white head. The flavour starts off with a good aroma hop note. Turns a bit rough, though. A bit like an India pale lager, if there is such a thing.
