A Double IPA, orange in colour and a strong hoppy character. A rich bouquet done by a resin aroma, tonal floreal with a light Fruity perception. Taste progresses from an initial feeling of malt towards to a prepotent bitterness with a final dry finish.

On tap at Il Santo Bevitore, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has a nice fruitiness, resinous hops, and bitter pine. Flavour has melon, tropical fruits, pine, and metallic notes. Tropical, boozy and a bit chaotic, but some nice elements here.

Tap at Il Santo Bevitore, Venice with Barbara, 8th November 24. Pours a slightly murky dark orange. Aroma is grapefruit and pithy marmalade. Taste is full, resinous and pithy citrus, bitter, nice old skool stuff

Smell of grapefruit, hops. Hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of booze, bitter hops, some stinging flavour. Bitter. Flat carbon. Dry palate. Something’s off.

33cl bottle. I think this starts from their excellent Brando IPA, and elevates it square. This is an 8.3 bomb but not at all heavy. Pours almost clear dark golden with lots of fine particles in suspension, thick white head, plenty of lacing, persistent. Smell hoppy, punchy. Flavor is rich of thick malts and loads of west coast style hops (simcoe, chinhook, citra, columbus), lots of tangerine and grapefruit, bergamot, spices, pepper, lemon zest, grass, leaves. Maybe some starch or remainder of yeast on a slightly muddy note. Taste is intense, malty sugary at fist then a sustained bitterness follows (66 IBU). Massive body, Smooth creamy texture relatively soft carbonation. Finish is long, flavored, resiny, clean, alcoholic but not excessively warming. A slow sipper that gets you stoned, yet fairly easy to drink. An outstanding DIPA from a local brewery, it packs a punch as the label says. Very very nice.
