Pale and aromatic, with a soft minerality, Witchfinder is a refreshing young saison. Brewed with Pilsner malt and wheat, and fermented with a mixed culture of saison strains. Hopped with Saaz and Amarillo, this farmhouse style beer is full of floral and citrus hop notes, and juicy fruit esters.

750ml bottle pours out a hazy cloudy apricot color topped with a white head. Nose is Brett grain spice and some pepper. Taste is more of the Brett notes spice and some barnyard.

750mL bottle drunk at the brewery on 8/19/16.
Deep, peach-bronze-honey colored body shows a thorough, but still bright haziness and a large, well-retained, white head.
Big brett fruitiness opens up the nose, with lime and light band aid. The black pepper and soft plaster notes interject themselves, softening things considerably, but the brett never lets go completely and still pervades to the finish, which is citrusy, tart and bright. There’s a cream-of-wheat-like element behind it all, not sweet, but very mild and working with the plastery, cellar-like yeast notes to offset the bacterial and brett acidity. Very nicely balanced, highly sniffable stuff with no alcohol or flaw.
Tart grapefruit rind and very mild band aid come forth immediately in the flavor, with plentiful fruitiness and lots of pepper. Very comforting, "chewy" texture and a well-attenuated character to the beer, with tight, ample carbonation. Good complexity with brett and lactic acids well-developed and lingering on the end. Delicious.

750 ml bottle from DeLaurenti in Seattle. 6.1% ABV. Aroma is bretty dusty basements, cotton candy, peach, floral, lemon. Pours hazy golden with a thick white head that falls after a minute into a skiff and splotchy/sheets of lace. Taste is dry, funky, earthy, finishing with a relatively high herbal bitterness. Nice.

750mL capped bottle shared by Dice. Oh, a brett saison without all the other bugs common to HoMo saisons. Aroma of beautiful Brett B. herbally cleanness. Just love the aroma. But the flavor drops out. All that awesome Brett is lost on the wimpy body. Just feels empty with a bitter, herbal finish, food bur not Brett B. Awesome Aroma and disappointing but good flavor.pretty gold color with long lasting head.
