Our Milk stout brings the smooth roasted darkness of 8 malts. With Added lactose in the boil to counter the subtle spicy bitterness from the Willamette hops. Think toffee, treacle & hints of liquorice.

Handpull cask from the Blue Boar, Leicester. Very dark brown and only slightly translucent with a large khaki head. I'm getting some ground coffee, ash, earth in the aroma. Following this, the taste is unexpectedly sweet with that creamy milk stout note, some sweetened plum. Long sweet finish with more stone fruit in the aftertaste. Medium body with soft carbonation. Nailed the style.

330ml can from Vinny and Ted, Chalfont St Peter. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, light milky lactose. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, sugary, light coffee, lactose palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with a small off-white head. Chocolate and lactose to the fore in the aroma. In the mouth the texture is sweet and milky, but tending towards watery after a while. Some nice roasted malt notes, but not much else, with coffee and chocolate making cameo appearances. More coffeee in the finish though. Not bad but a little bland.
