Risalta al naso una speziatura rustica di fieno ed erba tagliata, che fanno da cornice ad un piacevole fruttato di arancia e pompelmo. In bocca l’attacco è rotondo ma il finale secco, con il giusto amaro che richiama un sorso e poi l’altro. È LA birra da bere ma con una complessità intrigante.

On tap at Il Santo Bevitore, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has some musty farmhouse notes, hay, and some buttery notes. Flavour is much the same, with a sort of buttery Chardonnay character (not quite diacetyl), hay, and rustic farmhouse notes. Finishes dry and bitter with little depth. Meh.

Bottiglia. Sentori di speziato vanno a dare soddisfazione al naso. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta ed è di persistenza lunga. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è arancio. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è deciso e anche con una punta moderatamente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Sul tetto della bocca si depositano sentori di miele, resina e agrumi.

Tap. Astral Beers, Bologna. Honey gold. Soft haze. Thin, dense, lacing, lasting white head. Nose has yer standard saison yeast and spice. Some clove. Some hop leaf. Taste is fairly dry, with a spicy, herbal sweetness. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Touch of spicy bitterness to finish. Nailed it really, just not my favourite style.
