Flesje thuis gedronken. Goudgeel, licht troebel bier met mooie schuimkraag die als een film blijft liggen. Aroma is moutig en gist-achtig. Smaak is iets bitter met een fruitige ondertoon (appel, banaan). Nasmaak is iets bitter blijft lang hangen.

Kwalitatief, doch eerder een grijze muis in smaakpalettenland. Enige bitterheid, tikkeltje citrus.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Helsinki Summer Beer & Wine 2020) The beer poured golden and lightly hazy. Its head was large, white and it lasted long. Aroma had grass, Belgian style yeast and honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, Belgian style yeast, honey, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had spiciness, Belgian style yeast, honey and bitterness. A decent tripel with spicy notes.

Jolie bière brassée pour les 200 ans de la taverne Jan van Gent avec des arômes posés et un bon tempérament donné par l'alcool à 8 % et une bonne présence épicée. Les arômes restent simples mais agréables. Le visuel est sur un blond doré quasi limpide, une effervescence fine et soutenue et une mousse blanche de 2 cm. Le nez est sur l'alcool, le caramel, le lait ribot, le citron et de légères épices. Très bon équilibre à la dégustation, avec une bière construite autour de son alcool, structurant (celui-ci aurait même pu être légèrement poussé). Le trio alcool/houblon/malt fonctionne bien dès l'attaque avec des arômes reprenant ceux présents au nez avec une pointe de miel. En seconde bouche, la base douce prend bien le palais avec un alcool donnant du caractère à l'ensemble. L’arrière-bouche, plus épicée est accompagnée d'arômes de céréales et d'une touche de banane. Joli final, bien élancé tout en gardant cet alcool, véritable ligne directrice. Bière solide.

Bottle from Sandersput, Ninove. Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, small, frothy, white head. The aroma contains ripe banana, yeast, pepper, grass, wheat, flowery hops. It tastes medium spicy bitter and light fruity sweet with perfumey notes. Hoppy, spicy, dry finish. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, lively carbonation. Inoffensive.

F: huge, almost white, good retention. C: gold, hazy. A: malty, fruity, bit orange, banana, yeasty, bit spicy. T: malty, bit honey, fruity, dry grassy, orange peels, spicy, yeasty, nothing special here, drinkable, medium to full body, medium to high carbonation, 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Leuven.

Hazy pale to medium golden colour, small frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, fair lacing. Aroma malts, yeast, caramel, honey, light orange. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, toffee, light fruit, yeasty. Bittersweet aftertaste, bit sharp on the tongue, herbal and woody notes, bit alcohol, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Up till the finish smooth and velvetty, aftertaste alas a bit to harsh.

Bottle @ home. Hazy blond colour, white foam. Sweet nose of caramel, sugar. Harsh bitterness of leaves, raw vegetables. Unbalanced. Not very good.
