Tap. Hazy brown color with creamy tan head. Aroma is malty. Taste is malty, pumpernickel. Silky mouthfeel. Nice Dubbel I guess, but it’s not my style.

Keg at the taproom, Corvalis, 10/11/14. Clear amber with a decent light beige covering. Nose is Belgian yeast notes, caramel, spice, dark fruit rinds, dates. Taste comprises toffee, spice, dates, sticky fruit rinds, toasted brown sugars. Medium body, fine carbonation, sweet licks in the close but well tempered with bitter notes and doesn’t get too sweet or overbearing. Ok for style.

On tap at the Cellar Stash event. Pours a dark mahogany color with a medium beige head. A big spicy Christmas cake nose with toasted caramel, yeast and raisin. The flavor is similar with loads of brown malt, spices, banana, darker toffee and caramel. Very good.
