Can from Smokes n Suds. Deep brown pour with a large tan head. Mild aroma of piney hops and roasted malt. Tastes lightly sweet with moderate bitterness. Citrus, cocoa, pine, and toasted malts. A gentler entry into CDA territory.

12 oz from a six pack. Aroma has notes of pine, chocolate, coffee, dark bread, chocolate-covered oranges, cooked broccoli. Pours dark brown with a thick beige head with excellent retention. Taste has a moderate pithy bitterness and some light caramel sweetness alongside.

On tap at moscow ale house pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is dark chocolate roast coffee notes and some citrus. Taste is more of the nice roast malts coffee and hops.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with 2 fingers of beige, cola-like head that lingers. Nice aromas of chocolate & coffee next to grapefruit pith and orange peel. Balanced on the palate with chocolate and citrus and clean herbal note. Soft mouthfeel with a hazy, juicy texture. Leans dry on the finish. This was fun. They nailed what they were going for.
