Ein Bier mit frischem Hopfen wollten wir schon immer mal machen. Umso mehr haben wir uns gefreut, als Gunnar von mein Sudhaus aus Königswinter auf die Idee kam, den Hopfen aus seinem Garten in einem gemeinsamen Bier zu verarbeiten.

Clear yellow colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a pleasant malty base. There's a rounded floral hop bitterness and just a touch of citrus and yellow stone fruit.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop as Ale Mania Fresh Hop', best before December 2022. Hazy, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-grassy, slightly floral aroma of lemon peel, fresh grass, pineapple and a touch of grains. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, quite grassy-spicy and moderately fruity-floral taste of grains, fresh grass and some lemon peel, followed by a short, gently bitter, quite grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice one, although the hops don't come htrouigh as much as expected.

On tap. A hazy yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of spicy and grassy hops. Taste of spicy bitter hops, hay, some flowers, quite fresh.

Deutlich herber Beginn. Milde Hefe, leicht steigende Herbe, süffig. Weich, bitter, langer Nachhall, gut. 10/10/11/11//10
