Dörst is a double-decocted, imminently sessionable Pilsner. Notes of cracker and sourdough bread crust dominate, and the yeast lends a very light tartness. Alsatian-grown Triskel hops provide a subtle, rounded citrus note to this delicate yet complex beer.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a crystal clear straw gold with a full finger of white foam that lingers. Lovely bready malt and grain aromas. Crisp and clean on the palate. Some light mineral notes. Smooth and crisp. Light peppery hops and mineral notes on the finish.

Pours clear gold into a stein. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Biscuit and hay aromas. Soft with sweet wet hay and meadow upfront turning to mild earthy in the medium length finish. Becomes cloying as it warms docking a point or two.

16 oz. Aroma and flavor are a mirror. Upfront it shows hay / Cereal grain and a moderate level of sweetness. Light honey notes. Mild lingering bitterness but I can’t seem to find any real bold hop flavor. Very light body and refreshing. Overall, still a proper pils.
