Double Mash brew, 3 hour boil
Lagered for 3 months and 2 weeks on a first fill BourbRum barrel. (15 months of BourbRum goodness) (Barrel Gamma) a 30L Heavy toasted french oak barrel.
Extremely limited batch: only 55 bottles for the lucky few
SPIRIT: BLACK This unique beer is a classic imperial stout lagered on the sole BourbRum barrels in the world. We filled new french oak barrels with a blend of bourbon and rum. Best of both worlds in one barrel. After 8 months, the barrels were emptied and filled with this stout. Afterwards we filled the barrel with BourbRum for 9 months. Another batch of Spirit: Black was lagered for 3 months on this barrel.
The result is a beer with a unique aroma and taste.

This was really delicious. Well balanced between the several main flavors. Unique in the stout world. I really like stouts with only natural flavors from basic ingredients and BA without adjuncts. Great!
