Can from Asda, Minworth. Pours black with brief fizzy beige head, no retention. Aroma of roasted yet sweet malts, smoke, vanilla, lactose. An odd combination of slightly artificial sweetness and smoke. Taste starts sweet malts, roast, milk chocolate, vanilla and then a dry smokiness comes in with a more roasty bitterness. Its actually very nice and certainly balanced. Medium bodied, enough smoothness but not too thick. Flavoursome.

440ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light vanilla, lactose. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, liqourice, earthy, light chocolate vanilla palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not really as advertised.

Can from ASDA Supermarket, Manchester. Black with a small head. There's a strong alcoholic presence in both aroma and taste as is coffee. It's fairly smooth tasting, although not quite as much as some others of the ilk.

Can from Asda. Near black and opaque, with a hint of red. The head was tan and thin. Aroma of vanilla, toasty malts, coffee beans and fondant chocolate. Flavour had more vanilla, coffee and lactose, before a toasty, rather boozy, finish. Good.
