On tap at Five Roads - Steveston, pours a murky dark brown with a tiny head. Aroma is very weak, with light toasted bready malt, not much else. Flavour is dry and lightly toasty, with a dry bready malt character. Very light and weak even for the style. Nothing wrong with it, but it tastes like they skimped on ingredients.

Dark chestnut, not much head. Toasty, light bodied, a bit of roast, touch of chocolate.

Medium brown body and kind of okay light beige foam. Nice sweet biscuit aroma, reminds me of those old school macro dark beers from the dépanneur. Taste is more sweet biscuit, sugary coffee, ends smooth with lingering cocoa. Not bad at all, a crowd pleasing schwarzbier if nothing else.
