Clear copper with a decent white head. Malty and earthy notes. Almost soured malts and earthy. Not good.

Hazy pale amber with a medium head. Can’t say it looks like a sticke. That haze in particular doesn’t look right. Toasty and caramelly nose, the latter captures altbier decently. Some fruitiness, too. Medium bitterness. There’s a yeastiness I don’t like. It’s off style a bit, but not bad.

On tap at Studio, pours a clear bright amber orange with a small white head. Nose brings out crisp toasted bready malt and some crunchy herbaceous notes. Flavour is much the same, with bright bready malt, crunchy herbaceous notes, and maybe a hint of red fruits. Just a bit of residual sweetness — it's mostly herbal notes on the finish, along with mild bitterness. Pleasant.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy orangey gold with small white head (tried side by side with The Commute kolsch). Soft cereal malt with a bit of sweet grain. A little too sweet and lacking much else in the way of depth.

Cloudy brown body and some good creamy foam on top. Lots of chewy grain on the nose, muddy and overly sweet. Taste is chewy malt, sweet grain, sugary cereal. Finishes smooth. Not a bad altbier but a little on the chunky side.
