We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Small yellowish head over hazy orange beer with very small bubbling. Fruity/veggie nose, with celery, very light citrus, faintly catty. Not very tremendous, in fact. Arachide, fatty acids, tannine-like hopoils. Retronasal some citrus, grapefruitpeel, finishing with a touch of walnutbread. Feels more spritzy than it looks; not very well-bodied; slight astringency. Garrett, don’t tell me you never heard about the virtues of simplicity.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Piney and complex fruity hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit, pineapples and grass, backed by a mildly biscuity malty touch. Sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Biscuity malty base with loads of fruity, slightly floral and resiny hops; lingering, moderately sweet and discreetly bitter finish with mainly fruity hops in the aftertaste. The alcohol is very muted and thus deceptive. 20.III.15

Bottle. Sweet tropical fruity and biscuity caramel malt aroma. Hazy honey gold with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel malt, orange/grapefruit, and herbal hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Bottle @ Odense Summer Gathering, 2015. Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Caramel, bread, vague alcohol and faint hops, Sorachi ace still. Bubblegum and dill. Well crafted and quite sippable BarleyWine

Brought back from Buffalo for my by my lovely wife. A cloudy ice-tea amber-yellow with some lumpy white head. Nice malty nose with tangerine citrus, and caramel. Nice creamy,malty mouthful with a lot of citrus, some mild bittering hops, a touch of hop resin. Great beer, but sadly just one bottle to be had. Le sigh. Damn you LCBO.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a soft hazy bronzed orange color with a soft level off white foamy head that dissipated within less than about twenty seconds.
The smell started off with some fresh melon, light sweet lemon, and glosses over light notes of sweet fresh cut grass.
The taste was mainly sweet having a light bitterness coming about to balance. Sweet melon aftertaste leads to a semi-wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and it has a light creaminess running over my tongue.
Overall, decent DIPA, I could see myself coming back to.

Bottle: Orangey, hazy to cloudy, small off-White loose head; sweet orangey and caramelly nose, mild herbal hops underneath; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, quite full bodied; sweet-bitter exotic fruits in the drier, lingering hoppy-caramelly finish. Good, but too much on the sweet side...

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Hazy yellow/golden colour, white foam, doesn’t stay long. Fruity with notes of lychee, pineaplle and pine. Medium sweet with long bitter aftertaste. Good.
