Can. Opaque brownish orange with a 2cm white head. Subdued blood orange, spiced bread and tropical fruit aroma is brooding rather than vibrant. 7- Creamy texture with hints of antacid tablets. Lots of smooth fruit flavour - no hint of burn here with a lilt towards dry in a finish that belies the suggestion of 32 IBU. Good but not quite the surprising original.

A seriously more-ish imperial NEIPA that just disappears down my throat. It's the passionfruit that leaps out of the glass, along with pineapple and a little orange, but the orange really kicks in on tasting, and there's more mango in the mouth too. I love the Blood Orange, and I love this one too, even if there's the slightest bit of alcohol burn at the end.

Pours hazy orange with a large fading head.Nose shows vibrant pineapple, mango, blood orange, citrus, spicy and piny hops along with a fair whack of clean malt.Flavours include a truckloads of sweet syrupy clean malt, a fair bit of the blood orange, a bit of booze, some resinous piny hops. Very heavy-handed on the malt.A thick and syrupy body too.

From a 355ml can on 28/9/2020. Pours a murky deep golden with a small head. The features lots of orange and is a little dank. The standard Blood Orange is my go to NEIPA and one of the very best widely available beers in the country. This is a super charged version - sweeter and with a bigger blood orange/vitamin C tang, finishing a perfect, slightly spicy bitterness at the back. The mouthfeel is silky and lovely, the carbonation moderate. This is simply outstanding - beautifully balanced and very moreish. Dainton remain the Aussie kings of the NEIPA style in terms of flavour, and consistency for mine.
