330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small, creamy, fading, beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of cocoa, some coffee, a minimally ashy, smoky touch. Taste is bitter, roasty, chocolately, dark malty, subtle sweetness, notes of chocolate, dark chocolate, some coffee, cocoa, a minimally ashy, smoky touch, fruity hoppy hints of plum and blue berries, minimally metallic hoppy overtones. Minimally crumbly, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Still very tasty - good!

(bottle, 33cl, Prototype#1, 5.6% abv) Almost black coloured hue with a beige and short foamy layer. Moderately roasted malty aroma with notes of chocolate, mocha and lighter hints of dried fruits. Roasty bitter and mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a flat carbonation. Dry-ish roast-malty taste with notes of coffee, milk chocolate and a cautious fruit character; bitter-sweet and moderately roasted finish with a mildly tartness. Lacks carbonation. 06.XI.17

Bottle: Very deep amber coloured, presumably clear, quickly collapsing loose off-white head; mild to moderate bitter-roasty nose, some fruity caramel underneath, ashes as well, light to medium bodied; moderate dryish bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering bitter-fruity finish with a light acidity and late hops in the aftertaste. O.K....

0.33 l bottle from ’Vormann Brauerei’, best before February 2018. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, some coffee and hints of hazelnut. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of milk chocolate, coffee, some hazelnut and hints of licorice, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, earthy-dry finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very decent Porter!
