Honeyberry Pie is a fruited bier de coupage. We took a portion of mixed culture saison and blended it onto second use honeyberries and spontaneous lambic. A short contact time with the fruit allowed for a gentle pick up of flavors similar to blackberries, blueberries and red raspberries. Honeyberry Pie was bottle conditioned with Minnesota wildflower honey until its release. Enjoy this lively ale on a picnic table while playing cards.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep ruby red with a near white head that dissipates quickly and nearly completely. Aroma has dry and tart honeyberry with a touch of light sweet grains and wine supporting. Flavor has tart honeyberry with a bit of red wine and light funk underlying.
