bottle, extreme wax job, did they use superglue?? aroma is mostly coconut but also tons of other notes besides that, vanilla, booze, malts, toffee, licorice. smooth. flavor is crazy sweet, coconut, vanilla, toffee, licorice, chocolate. boozy notes from the barrelling. i find it a bit too much too sweet and too many flavors from stuff added to the beer, this is a pastry barley wine for sure more than a traditional barley wine. If you really really like sweet stuff and if you don't care the beer does not taste like beer, you'll like this a lot lot, it's quite refined and layered and complex for a dessert, for a beer, it lacks beer flavor.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Pours viscous dark brown. Syrupy nose with coconut, vanilla and caramel. Very sweet with sticky mouthfeel. Taste like they have thrown a Bounty chocolate bar in a mixer and topped it with maple syrup. Infantile cloying pastry stuff. Worst barley wine in history?

Bottled (from Alko web). Brownish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is toffee, liquorice, coffee liquor, mild coconut and some vanilla with syrupy tones. Flavour is liquorice, coffee liquor, coconut, some alcohol and chocolate with mild syrup and quite a strong alcohol sting. Still rather pleasant to drink.

Clear dark brown beer, a few tan bubbles lead a mayfly existence. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation for the style. Smooth malts, some creamy sweetness, whisper of chocolate and caramel. Smooth bourbon, strong but smooth and it goes very well with the bounty full coconut (see what I did there? I'll get me coat). Some maple on the back end, thankfully not too much. Vanilla runs throughout and integrates well. A very nicely done desert barleywine. Smooth, layered, nicely barrelled and very drinkable.

ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, malty, rich, dried fruit, barrel - vanilla, bourbon - alcohol, maple. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, barrel - vanilla, bourbon - laber larver, dried fruit, caramel, maple. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20220513]

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, nougat, maple syrup, coconut, vanilla notes, medium sweet, light bitter. Full body, oily texture, malty maple nougat sweet finish with light alcohol warming notes. Very good.

Dark brown colour. Earthy aroma, malt, dark caramel, alcohol, vanilla. It's full bodied, very sweet, with malt and maple up front, liquid cake, vanilla, sweet chocolate, coconut cream; finishing with vanilla, smores, and a touch of alcohol.
Absolutely delicious.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb 28.09.2023). Murky dark brown with very minimal beige head. Coconut, vanilla, touch of maple. Very nice flavour cohesion.

355ml bottle with a wax cork. Really struggled to get this one open... Black colored beer. Overdose of really everything here, maple and coconut dominating. Overly sweet. Vanilla. Barrel. Just too much.

took me 15 minutes to get past the clay seal... deep red brown... 5..soft sweet maple vanilla Caramelised fruit nose 8.. soft soft sweet sticky Caramelised fruit9, 5...but fuck you should not need risk injury to open
