Our annual Barrelworks Anniversary Ale is an ode to traditional farmhouse beers found in the Lambic brewing regions of Belgium. Each year is a blend of our “best barrels” showcasing these Lambic characteristics, and our 8th anniversary beer rests on the shoulders of our mighty wild Agrestic ale, transformed in barrel from our British Pale Ale DBA and materializes into a beer radiating notions of earl grey tea, light citrus fragrances and a keen Flemish accent.

On tap at Firestone Walker - The Propagator, pours a clear copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma is complex, revealing lots of wild bugs, rustic notes, and tons of great oak character. Flavour is wonderful, with a deep, complex oak character, lots of wild critters, a rustic character, and more oak. The oak and bugs are expressed beautifully. What a blend. Fantastic stuff.

750 c&c from the brewery. Pours clear, dark orange with a large creamy white head. Aroma is moderately sour with some fruit notes. Med body. Flavor is quite suggestive of gueuze. Flavors suggest plums and nectarines. Wood is oaky and slightly musty. Dry and moderately sour. Gueuze lovers should love this. It's very tasty.
