The Double New England India Pale Ale is brewed exclusively with the Ekuanot hop variety.
The advantage of a single hop beer is that the brewers can work out every single taste component of the hops and even the untrained tongue can get to know and enjoy the full taste potential of the hop variety. In the craft beer scene, brewers are divided into two camps: some use huge amounts of hops and add them at various stages of the brewing process, while others limit themselves to a single variety and present the entire range of flavors.
El Presidente flows out of the can in heavily tarnished gold and adorns itself with a volatile crown of fine-pored, creamy foam. A scent that can only be described as "thanks" rises into the nose and is an olfactory harbinger of great beer enjoyment. The taste follows the foot and presents explosive fruit notes, spicy yeast and hop components and a powerful bitterness. The 8.0% alcohol content is skilfully integrated into the various flavors and is hardly noticeable. The silky smooth mouthfeel makes El Presidente a luxurious beer enjoyment and makes a major contribution to the excellent drinkability of this wonderful Double NEIPA.
