Half-pint, cask at the Ale House in Chelmsford. Shared with Finn. Upper part lacing, fair off-white head, copper coloured body, clear. Moderate smell of toffee and herbal hops. Doughy malt-fruity taste, mid-sweet brown malty twist to it. Ends on the sweet side of bittersweet. Straightforward English bitter. (Chelmsford 23.11.2021).

Cask at the Victoria, Colchester. Pours clear bright light brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, hop, caramel, also nutty. Medium sweetness with light bitterness. Light body and soft carbonation. Nice level of bitterness to finish.
