Bottle from a shop in Cambridge. Opaque almost completely black, small beige head that settles quickly. Aroma of roasting coffee beans, edge of pine. Pine resin enters the taste, a good complement to the dark roast coffee background. Dry, bitter finish. A proper Cascadian dark ale.

Bottle ordered from Beautiful Beers, Bury St E. Aroma has pine, herbs, coffee. Opaque dark brown. Satisfyingly foamy beige head. Medium bitter. Pine, black coffee and liquorice but with a herbal and citrus streak. Tangy. It's the bitterness that flows through into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Hits the spot.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Beautiful Beers. Pours deep brown with a thick, creamy tan head. Light-medium sweet flavour with notes of zippy-pithy grapefruit and lemon, sturdy roast, earth, cocoa, ash, burnt pine. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Hearty roast and baking cocoa to finish, citrus rind, pine, earth. Very nice.

330ml bottle, gyle no. 63, bought at Beautiful Beers. Shared with Finn, Travelodge session. Firm fawn-coloured head resting over a deep black body, spotty lacing. Prominent brown malty aroma, hints of ripe fruit. Mixed taste profile of pine needles, caramel malts, together with Voss kveik yeast. Has got a malt-fruity finish, slightly tart. Satisfying. (Hotel room, Cambridge 14.11.2021).

Delt med Rune på rom 320 Travelodge Cambridge Central. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget luftig skum som daler sakte og etterlater nydelige filigranser, Aroma av mørke plommer. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken lett syrlig. Kveiken? Ellers tørket frukt. Ekstra tørr avslutning.
