Atraditional English ale in style and because it’s triple hopped has a depth of flavour that’s not often found in beers of this strength. It’s amber in colour with a toffee fruity nose. It’s full flavoured, balanced and moreish.

Cask, half-pint, shared with Finn at Maypole. Bright amber, filmy layer, scattered lacing. Moderate smell of mid-sweet malts and leafy hops. Hints of buttery caramel to the taste profile added by herbal hops. On the sweet side of bittersweet to a short ending. Fair enough. (Cambridge 14.11.2021).
