Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Thanks to Antoine! Shared with Antoine and DutchDrebus. Clear golden color, looks like apple juice. No head, just a small lacing. Smell apple as well and maybe light hints of wood? Light hint of sour for sure. Taste pretty nice, but not really that special. Don’t really taste whisky, maybe just a little as well as wood.. Decent ’tickling’ carbonation, medium body.

Amber coloured with low offwhite head. Little toffee and buttery flowers on the nose. The 7% are well hidden which usually is a good thing, but the to sweet caramelbody is rather plain. A little hint of EKG-like hops with flowerlike scents but almost no bitterness at all. Small resembles of lowland whiskey and a little vanilla, but to sum up, a beer soon forgotten.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and a little alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. Much too sweet. Couldn’t pick up anything having to do with whiskey barrels. 270811

50cl bottle. Pours amber with no head. The nose has some whisky sweetness and some sweet malt. The taste has caramel, tangy malt and warming whisky. The palate is rich in structure with good texture but could refresh a bit more at the end, though it is a whisky beer. Overall, it doesn’t work for me on the palate but it has a really high enjoyment factor.

50 cl bottle. Golden with small diminishing white head. Flavour is malt, sweet, dry and disappointing lack of whiskey flavour. Maybe they forgot to put this batch on barrels?

As Tullibardine 1488 Premium Whisky Beer
Golden color, beautiful. Few words to describe this fermentation mess, basically only with cabbage and other vegetables aroma and flavor (no smoke, no whisky, no malt, no hops; attenuated alcohol).
Terrible.

330 ml brown bottle, but shure it has that ruff plast ic cover, bought at SDA in Hamilton today! 2009-12-21, Uddingston AR: Heather Honey, and some hops. AP: Bonze bodt, apricot colored 1/2 cm foam. F: Honey, a bit dry tone - don’t know if there is so much whisky flavors there but somehow the brewer have covered the high alocohol % pretty well.
