33cl bottle from HiperDino Express, Puerto De La Cruz. Pours golden with a white head. Malty and quite fruity aroma with hints of wood, whisky and honey. Sweet, but balanced. Nice and round malty flavour with well integrated alcohol. Nice beer! (2013-01-05)

33 cl bottle @ home as ”Tullibardine 1488 Premium Whisky Beer”, 7%. BBE 03/2013
Quite stale, weird and unpleasant aroma with whisky, very ripe bananas, some peat and hints of apricot. Flavour is slightly sweet with whisky, peat, some apricot and hints of banana. Quite messy stuff.

Clear amber beer. Sweet malt nose with a whiff of whisky. Slightly dry palate. Sweet creamy malt with a trace of vanilla oak. The whisky comes through a little sour and with a trace of peat. Fresh and interesting. Mild orange hop at the end.

500ml bottle kindly imported from Scotland by my neighbour. Aroma hinting at what was to come: a soft, beautifully balanced scottish ale with flavours of whisky, vanilla, honey (and a floral touch). Hides the 7% admirably, a superb beer to savour alone or with friends.

April 2010: Brown 500ml bottle, couldn’t find a best before date. Poured into my huge ’Judas’ glass. Clear amber/orange coloured body, on top sat a large white foaming head. I tried and tried to find a whisky or oak hint in the smells, but only a weak malted barley smell could I find. The taste was fine, a typical English ale, but again no whisky or oak flavours for me, just a pleasant ale. There is a slight whisky feel as the mouth drys but not enough to get excited about. Maybe the flavours were to delicate for me but I still enjoyed the beer. The beer is OK, not sure it is worth the cost, but glad I’ve experienced another whisky beer. I am sure I’ll really enjoy one soon!

33cl bottle. Dark golden beer with a frothy white head. Aroma is malty and sweet. Flavour is sweet smooth with slightly whisky hints and dense on palate. The final is moderate sweet. Carbonation is soft. Texture is oily. Body is medium to high.

Bottle. Light marzipan malt aroma. Hazy amber, low head. Toffee, a bit bog myrtle, very light smoke, the barest hint of cask, Marzipan aftertaste. Medium body, sparkly mouthfeel. Quick finish, orangepeelretronasal. A bit more oomph to the ingredients would have helped, in a blind tasting I would probably have guessed this to be a Strong Euro Lager.

Same bottle as benzai mentioned. Deep orange colour, clear, no head. Smells very sweet, wood notes and alcohol. Tastes sweet, caramel, hardly any whisky, wood. Sticky mouthfeel, medium body, great co2.
