Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Sweet brown malt aroma with caramel, notes of dried fruits and lightly spicy. Sweet almost syrupy flavour with a light to moderate bitterness. Body is above medium with a mildly sticky texture. A bit sweet for my taste but pretty richly malty Doppelbock.

bottiglia 50 cl, schiuma beige fine evanescente, colore ambrato carico limpido, al naso intenso miele di castagno malto tostato zucchero di canna frutta matura, in bocca miele malto castagne frutta secca fichi secchi uvetta, corpo rotondo, oily, lieve astringenza, carbonazione leggera, dolce con amaro moderato. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Lots of caramel, dried fruit, some toast. A bit cloying sweet, not the best balanced doppelbock.

Bottle from Ambasada, shared with Hrabren. Slightly hazy amber-copper body, off-white head. Sweetish caramelly aroma, light alcohol, herbal, not bad, some dried fruit maybe. Lean caramelly taste, some dried red fruit, pretty well balanced, herbal hoppy touches, peppery, some alcohol. some trace orange. Actually a good, drinkable doppelbock, even if it's not fresh.

0.5 l bottle from Ambasada, Zagreb. Shared with Marko. Clear deep ruby red, small off-white head. Dried fruit at first, cranberry, raisins, strawberry jam, molasses, grainy, a touch of spice, a touch of alcohol, a touch of dark bread. Some herbal hops. Sweet, sugary, candy, dried fruit, alcohol. Strong. Sweet finish. Not the best balance.
