Bottled 500ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb. Amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, caramel and dark bread in the nose. Sweet malty, dried fruits, dark bread, caramel, touch of alcohol and sweetish finish.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a slightly hazy caramel brown colour with no head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake and caramel. Taste has the same again very typical Doppelbock with some added peppery spice and warming alcohol. Thin to medium body, slight fizz on the tongue and oily mouthfeel. Not bad but much better examples of the style out there. Average Doppelbock.

Bottles from Jonas, thanks! Moderate head after pouring from height. Dark brown. Molasses raisin cookies sweetness on the nose. Flavor is super complex with smooth spices probably from yeast esters. Raisins, dried plums, it's like the liquid form of Grammy's fruitcake. Smooth carbonation. Sweet but balanced by the hops and esters. Excellent! If this is what you get drinking 2wks after expiry I'll take some more please.

Clear amber brown colour, tall frothy beige head, good retention, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, caramel, treacle, dark fruits, brown sugar. Taste heavy sweet and slightly bitter, roasty, malty, toffee, sugary. Sweetbitter aftertaste, fruit and caramel notes, alcohol. Fullbodied, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, brute of a beer, lacks subtlety.

Bottle from Gabriel/Erzengel. Thank you. Rich malty caramel aroma with a sour vinous edge to it. Chestnut. Thin bubbly beige head just form a narrow band. Light-medium bitter over a sweet edge malty dark fruit and nuts core. Christmas spice. Underlyi g sourness appears into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick verging on oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Slightly astringent finish. Nice enough. Could do with less bitterness and more of the Christmad pud.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some malt spiciness, a chocolately touch. Taste is sweet-ish, toasty dark and caramel malty, notes of malt lozenge, a touch of treacle, minimally nutty and chocolately overtones, a touch of dried fruit as well. Very nice.
