Würzig malziger Antrunk, der aber stärker alkoholisch als malzig ist. Wenig Hefe, auf gleichem Level vergoren bananig. Entäuschend schwach, etwas trocken, nicht unbedingt harmonisch. Der Schokoladentouch zum Ende ist angenehm, kann aber nach schwachem Beginn kaum noch begeistern. Holziges, erstaunlich wenig alkoholisches Finish. 6/7/6/8/9/6

Bottle from Birroteca La Tana del Luppolo, Bologna, Feb 2011 consumed March 8th 2011 There was a very impressive German section of beers within this great little shop. Pours crystal clear brown with a hint of red and a light beige head. Quite sweet and sticky in the mouth, toffee and a little banana, soft in the mouth, medium carbonation. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized and tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with notes of beet sugar and caramel/toffee. Sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty, caramelly and slightly bready taste with herbal accents; sweet and toasty, also slightly bitter and hoppy finish with a tinge of alcohol. 28.II.11

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Reddish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel, some mild syruop and mild notes of hops. Flavour is quite much the same in a nice balance.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, marinatet sweet raisin, brown sugar notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091122]

Clear amber with a medium off white head. Sweet aroma with toasted malt, caramel and hoppy hints. Flavour was sweet with toasted malt, caramel and hoppy notes. Finished mild bitter.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep hazzlenut brown with a small tan head. Fruity and light caramelish aroma. Sweet malty flavoured, nicely roasted and towards fruity in flavoured. Ends slight bitter showing a good balance.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts and burned caramel. Solid body with a massive malt base. Roasted malts, some pumpernickel and sweet caramel. Rather subdued bitterness in the finish but quite some warming alcohol. A solid Bock. 221109

Small offwhite head doesn’t last. Dark brownish red body. Complex nutty syrupy roasty caramelly aroma with toffee notes. Harmonic and clean. Dry-sweetish wooden peppery caramelly syrupy taste with grassy fruity notes. Light body. Shortish taste. Harmonic and complex. Dry peppery hoppy spicy aftertaste. Ɛ.5l bottle shared by gr0ve.)
