Klosterbrauerei Andechs Export Dunkel

Export Dunkel

Klosterbrauerei Andechs in Andechs, Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪

Lager - Dunkel / Tmavý Regular
Score
6.81
ABV: 4.9% IBU: - Ticks: 124
Characterised by its firm and fine pored head. Even before the first sip, the beer epicure will register the soft aromas of dark malt carrying caramel and cocoa accents with a nuance of smokiness.

Andechser Export Dunkel is pleasantly tangy with a full, round, malty body. The nuance of quality plain chocolate marries well with the soft bitterness of the smoky undertone.

It concludes on a mild, harmonious note (12.5% original extract and 4.9% alcohol by volume).

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear mahogany colour with a medium sized creamy beige head. Lively carbonation. Aromas of dry dark fruits, dark fruits, berries, caramel, toffee, roasted malts, nuts, brown bread and a little brown sugar. Taste has all the same notes as the aroma with a hint also of chocolate. Fairly light bodied, smooth mouthfeel and a nice lingering slightly roasty aftertaste Well balanced. Really nice Dunkel one of the best i have tried.

Bottle picked up from an Edeka supermarket at Munich Airport, Germany consumed at our log cabin in Dachau Sunday 13th January 2019. Pours brown with a ruby glint. Nice carbonation leading to a soft mouthfeel. Caramel on the nose and in the mouth, a little hoppiness punches through so whilst there is a brown sugar sweetness it is not too sweet. Good beer. Testnek és léleknek. Könnyen iható kis dunkel, de személy szerint többet vártam volna tőle.
