Andechser Export Dunkel is pleasantly tangy with a full, round, malty body. The nuance of quality plain chocolate marries well with the soft bitterness of the smoky undertone.
It concludes on a mild, harmonious note (12.5% original extract and 4.9% alcohol by volume).

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 06.12.18, from a supermarket, 20180420) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had grass, molasses and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were molasses, malts, biscuits, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had molasses, malts and bitterness. A nicely done beer with too thin finish.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’. Clear, very dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a little grassy aroma of caramel, chocolate and some straw. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly roasty and a bit grassy taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts and some coffee, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather roasty and slightly grassy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Hatalmas, tartós hab, sötétbarna szín. Karamelles, gyümölcsös illat. Édeskés karamelles, pörkölt malátás, gyümölcsös ízvilág. Könnyed, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén kesernyés. Jól csúszó, könnyed kis barna.

Bottle. Red/copper coloured. Proper head. Aroma of red berries, malts and hops. Taste is malts, red berries, cherries, caramell and chocolate. Also some roasted flavours and some acidity. Medium carbonation. The abundance of aroma and taste reminds me of a Doppelbock. Very balanced. Full of flavour and super süffig at the same time. One of my alltime favourites.

At Internationales Berliner Bierfestival 2016. Amber/brownish with a small firm head. Aroma and taste of malt, some nuts and chocolate. Quite refreshing.
