Bottle shared at the July 2016 MDBG tasting, 7/11/16.Dark brown, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong meaty smoke, caramel, roasted malt. The taste is smoke, chocolate, roasted malts, ham. Medium bodied.

Draught @ 7 Stern Brau, Vienna, Austria. Pours very dark brown with tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, light sourness, smoke, woodsmoke, light smoked meat. Flavor is malty, light caramel, light sourness, mild wood smoke, smoked meat. Medium body, light oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. 140816

Jan. ’16. A 0.5 l bottle from the brewpub machine, taken to Marko and ogivlado. It poured a hazy dark brown body with a small head. Dalmatian smoked ham aroma (pršut). My thing. Flavor had notable roasted malt, coffee, but smoked malt still prevailed. Generally lightly sour as all the real smoked beers, but a little bit roast bitterness fought over it anyway. Medium complexity. Finished more alkaline like ash or burnt wood, but not bad, just smokey notes. A little bit empty, thinner in body than expected when it started to smell and taste nice, but still a very nice smoked porter.

On tap at 7 Stern. Pours dark brown with small tan head. Roasted malts, moderate smoke, chocolate. Medium bodied, quite smooth. Nice brew.

Bottle @ Benzai’s crazy carnaval, small sample. BB 25.10.2015. Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of bacon, mocha, smoke, campfire. Bit sourish in taste, smokey. Roast, bacon.

Bottle @ Don’t want anything to do with carnaval tasting. Dark brown color, average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is very smoky and bacon. Taste malts, sourish, smoke, bacon, paint. Not my thing, don’t like this.

Bottle @ benzai’s carnaval. Black colour with a small off-white head. Smells campfire, smokey,bacon, roasty, quite nice. Tastes sourish, bacon, smokey, smoke, cigarettes. Too bad it’s sourish. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of heavy, shared with him and Marko. Black coloured, medium sized off-white head, pleasant smoked presence in the nose. Roasted malt, smoked ham, mild chocolate and slightly watery with pleasant smokey notes in the finish. Not bad at all just a bit thin.

Thanks heavy for bringing this from Vienna! Dark brown body tinged with amber, off white head. Pršut and caramel aroma, nice, smoked ham really, light propolis, very light. Huge smoked ham taste, mild, some dry maltiness. NIce Rauch really, not really complex, at all, completely smoke driven. Lacking some sweetness to balance this salty smokeyness off. Not bad though.
