Wir kombinieren über Buchenholz geräuchertes Malz nur mit bayerischem „Melon“ Hopfen. Enorme Mengen von diesem fruchtigen Hopfen sind nötig um eine Balance mit dem Rauchmalz zu erzeugen und die leichten Honigmelonenaromen zum vorschein zu bringen.
Das Rauchbier für Leute die kein Rauchbier mögen. Unüblich und perfekt als Vorspeise.

Vienna 2015. Orange color with white head. Like a regular APA with hints of smoke, just like you’d expect it, but with a weaker smoke character. Nicely balanced, not bad. 3.1Bottle, BKL17. Clear amber color with soapy tan head. Aroma is buttery, touch of smoke, . Taste is smoked, buttery, nice pale ale body with some residual sweetness. Fruity aftertaste with a touch of smoke. Oily mouthfeel. Nice - my palate likes smoked much more by now, it appears. 7-4-7-3-15

Copper, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, slightly yellow head.
Aroma of smoke, berries, caramel, melon, some grass.
Taste follows this, with some more citrus.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smooth, smokey, sweet, fruity.
Nice one. Smooth and easy, with a very well balance between the smoke, sweet malts and fruity notes. Enjoyed the previous version from Beer Store even a bit more, while it is not so different and also enjoyable.

Dark amber to copper, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, off-white head.
Aroma of bacon, citrus, strawberry, stone fruits, grass, biscuit.
Tastes of bacon, biscuit, honey, grapefruit, grass, sweet berries, peach.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, smokey, zesty, grassy, sweet malty.
Very interesting. The combination of smoked malts and fruity hops works surprisingly good. Very well balanced, also because of a very smooth, sweet malt backbone. Enjoyed this a lot, really quaffable.

Trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch trocken fruchtig, sehr hopfig. Geschmack süß malzig, tropische Früchte, getreidig, Karamell.

0,1l from tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien shared with Saeglopur. amber cloudy color, small white head. smells lightly smoky, spices, fruity, light melon notes, pines, some herbal notes. quite nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of grass, herbal, light smoke notes, lightly acidic, spices, very light fruit notes. finishes lightly bitter with herbal and citric notes. very nice beer, drinks very goood.

on tap at Craft Beer Fest Wien Tasting Sessions. redish hazy color. small white head. beer served a bit too cold. light smoke notes, some light fruity notes, citric, overall smoke notes dominate. light body, medium carbonation, very nice slick mouthfeel. light / very subtle taste of smoke, tastes fruity, some slight sweetness, creamy, citric, plums, cherries, light herbal. light bitter / fruity finish. wow, quite nice, drinks quite easy. smoke is more apparent on the smell, and very well integrated in the taste. overall i love the taste.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Quite interesting beer, combining hoppiness with rauch walt which is not a traditional combo. It needs some getting used to but then the fruity hops and classic beech smoke work together. Well somewhat at least. Worth a try.
