At Craft Bier Fest Wien. Very rough very tanninish woody taste with even some sourness. Astringent to me. Unnecessarily strong alcohol. Meh.

Grape skin, vineous. Taste is sour cherries, vineous, some tannins. No carbonation. Good, I like it!

Thanks to Massimo for sharing (and making) the bottle! Poured into a tulip showing translucent coffee with no head. The nose shows a lot of diesel with hints of sweet barley. The palate is full bodied and no carbonation. Showing a barley sweetness on the front but very light and barely perceivable. Slight tartness around the edges. The first barley wine I’ve had that has practically dry!

Dark brown color. Sour nose, with huge rum nose, leather, cherries and port nose. No head. The mouth has virtually no carbonation (still), modestly sour, port, big fat maltiness, port, rum, leather, and a bit of tobacco leafs. Big rum, leather and port finish.

At Villagio Della Birra 2015.Bottled.Clear dark brown color, very small tan head. Sweet, fruity, raisins, alcohol scent. Sweet, firey, some alcohol, raisins, cognac taste. Raisins, oxidized malt aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.
