Bottle: Poured a translucent brown with no head, maybe a couple bubbles. Aroma is acidic, raisin dark fruits. Taste is sour tart infected, some sugar, some burn.

Bottle. Thanks Massimo. No carb, dark brown, lovely aroma, rum, dark fruit, boozy. Taste is very nice, rum booziness, rich, cherry. Good stuff. Deep.

Bottle. Quite dark brown body. Aroma... Old, "endlessly reused" homemade wine barrel and heavy maltiness. Sourness dominates the taste and not in a good way, ya, acetic, maltiness, ending in crappy Flemish sour territory. Full mouldy barrel and malty notes I mean... Huh.Enormous disappointment really, I truly respect this brewery and the bottle we got was beyond sub par.

On tap @Open Baladin (Rome). Bruna scura, intensa, schiuma leggera.

Near black beer, dead & flat as a (burnt) pancake. Molasses, rum, wine, old winecasks, fusels - boozy nose. Sourish, again als old wine with some rum-like molasses behind. So fermented that almost no sweetness is left. Despite an impression of being dense, ultra slick, this sports a thin body. Acidthinning, attenuation? Strange. No carbonation whatsoever. Alcoholheat. Not bad, certainly seen it was aged in rum barrels, not exactly my favourite. Still, I might have appreciated some carbonation.

Pours dark brown, not much carbonation, which is probably OK for a barleywine. Some sourness in the nose next to sweetness and bitterness. Taste has sweetness too, acidity that is mixing well with the overall sensation. Whiskey is coming through, warming winter sensation.

0,1l from tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien, shared by a friend. brown color, no head. smells grapes, wine, some alcohol, spices, bitter almonds, nutty, marzipan, wood, very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes sour, quite citric, wood, nutty, marzipan, bitter almonds, green apples. finishes sour with alcohol and grapes and nuts. very good stuff, very complex, rather alcoholic but drinks quite good.
