Bottle. Pours hazy golden amber with a large off-white creamy head that dissipates slowly but eventually eaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma starts bready and a bit funky, sitting on top of peaches, citrus, passionfruit. Flavor is quite interesting; they ain’t kidding about passionfruit. This beer, fresh, is drinking a lot like a brett IPA, light sweet, medium bitter, lots of tropical fruitiness, just a hint of the funk. Bitterness lingering into the far finish, along with a surprising level of alcohol burn for a 6.5% beer. Not a lot of barrel characteristics, perhaps some added astringency from the wood. This is an unusual beer that I am glad to have tried.
